I have a user that wants to use a remote desktop app to remote back to his Windows7 PC from his Macbook pro. I was able to download and install Microsoft remote desktop 8.0.9 from the Apple app store, but I am unable to successfully connect to the PC, it keeps on stating that the RDP client can't connect and to check that the PC name is correct or enter the IP address. I have allowed the user to remote to the PC on the Windows7 PC side. The Macbook pro is running Mavericks OS X 10.9.4. I was wondering if there are any known issues with this version of RDP possibly not working with the OS X version? I have had good luck in the past being able to remote onto Windows PCs from a MAC using the Windows RDP client, but having a hard time making this version work.
Maybe I should try a 3rd party RDP client?
